While there is a part of me that would love to name and shame those who have destroyed the confidence and optimism of others, the reality is that would make me as bad as them. 

The reality is there are many reasons why managers behave this way - some of which are a byproduct of abuse they are encountering – which is why the purpose of this site is not to get revenge but to try and encourage change. 

With that in mind there are just 2 rules: 

1. No names of people or companies. 

2. Please sign off your post with the industry you were working in at the time the abuse to help others recognize the scale of this problem.
