They Know. But Only Some Of Them Want You To Know It

One of the big problems with management abuse - especially the slow and systematic destruction of an employees confidence - is that no one talks about it.

Of course, the reason for this is the managers make you feel like everything wrong is your own fault so feel safe you're not going to advertise your shortcomings to the World.

It's the ultimate cruelty.

The reason for this blog is to help people going through this abuse to know they're not alone and that it doesn't have to be this way. We also hope it attracts managers so they can recognise how their actions can have devastating effect on the very people they are meant to nurture and look after.

This is why we need more stories to help stop more abuse.

But while many organizations act like there is nothing wrong, there are some who try to stop it which is why we draw your attention to a paper by ACAS, which not only helps you realise what is abuse, but how you can start to deal with it.

We know that in most cases, people suffering abuse have tried to rally against it but are just beaten back down, but it might help and so we suggest having a read.

You can see it here.
